Business Center Manager
Position Summary: Assure the manufacturing process within specified Business Center meets objectives related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Develop strategies that align with key business objectives and drive the Business Center operation to scorecard attainment.
Reports to: Director of Factory Operations/Plant Manager
Create a culture of continuous improvement to promote lean and efficient processes. Lead CI initiatives within the Business Center with a sense of urgency.
Review and evaluate Business Center budget requirements for capital expenditures, labor, production/operations, etc. Assure budget objectives are met.
Drive initiatives that promote the continuous development of associates. Develop Workforce Planning to ensure ongoing succession planning within the Business Center.
Lead performance and set objectives of the Business Center Staff to ensure safety, quality, production, and delivery goals are being met.
Create an environment promoting the growth and development of Business Center staff by assuring ongoing training, development and compliance. Provide development and coaching of Area Managers within the Business Center.
Monitor and control costs related to the plant including labor, materials and equipment.
Create and implement long-term vision strategies for the operation that support plant and corporate objectives.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- BS in Business, Engineering or related field. Graduate degree preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years in a management role within a manufacturing environment. Experience in driving strategy with day to day operations to the team.
Experience managing in a Union environment.
- Experience working with ERP, purchasing, or inventory management systems; SAP experience preferred.
Requires the ability to direct cross-functional work groups to achieve goals and objectives.
Strong communication, business, technical, analytical and planning skills.
Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
- Excellent Computer skills including the use of Microsoft Word & Excel software applications
