Product Quality Analyst

 

Position Summary: Responsible for reviewing and analyzing finished goods, provide reports, and trend findings to departments to continuously improve product quality.

Reports to: Product Quality Manager

Essential Functions/Duties:

  • Review quality of delivered product at a determined frequency.

  • Perform analysis of finished goods and audit findings.

  • Through the use of data and various analysis tools provide recommendations, actions, and feedback to department managers.

  • Identify and determine major discrepancies, develop, implement and/or communicate prompt corrective actions; escalate as needed.

  • Provide reports to management displaying the performance and status of the quality system and recommend needed improvements.

  • Lead efforts to ensure containment of quality spills.

 

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • AAS in Engineering, Quality or other technical field; Bachelor’s Degree preferred; experience considered in lieu of degree.

  • Must have one year of experience working in manufacturing; preferably the tire or automotive industry.

  • Must be able to demonstrate strong statistical analysis and problem solving skills.

  • Knowledge and experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments with the flexibility to work on a team.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated multi-tasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.

  • Excellent Computer skills including the use of Microsoft Word & Excel software applications.

  • Flexible work hours required.
