JOB TITLE: Statistical Quality Control Auditor                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Process Quality Lead Engineer

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Responsible for participating in all customer quality activities providing support to the quality management system. Evaluate uniformity equipment for standardization to requirements. Completes process audits on first and last cure tires. Completes capability analysis on various processes as required, including statistical techniques.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  • Samples and audits product and processes throughout the manufacturing system determining the status relative to specifications, standards, and process capability.
  • Performs internal audits as part of the QMS using TS16949 specification standard.
  • Evaluates grading equipment performance to assure repeatability and reproducibility of the gauging measurement by area.  Examples:
    • MRT
    • Motorcycle
    • Replacement Radial
    • OE (module)
  • Completes first and last cure tire audits and communicates nonconformances to manage.
  • Maintains computer database of audit results issuing status reports on a weekly & monthly basis.
  • Promotes and champions safety efforts throughout the plant.
  • Works to directive of management and performs other duties as required.
  • Is committed to and promotes “Excellence Through Teamwork” throughout the organization.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • AAS in Industrial Technology, Quality Assurance or Business Administration or related field; relevant work experience in lieu of degree.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 – 2 years of quality experience required. 
  • Product handling experience, and/or analysis.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Solid knowledge and application of basic statistical analysis.
  • Excellent PC skills utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access software applications.
  • Experience with Minitab or detailed statistical analysis preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
  • Lifting of product is required.
